Chandigarh, July 15 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that on the lines of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University established in Palwal, four places will be identified in the state and ‘Kesh Kala’ will be taught at these places.
Mr. Manohar Lal gave this information in a function organized on the occasion of Shri Sain Baje Bhagat Jayanti in Rohtak today.
He said that an award has been instituted in the name of famous folk singer Baje Bhagat, under which a prize of Rs one lakh will be given to good singers, poets and people doing good works. The Kala Parishad has invited applications for the award and about 1,200 applications have so far been received. The Chief Minister asked the Sain Samaj to allot 1,000 square yards of land for establishing Bhagat Memorial according to the Government's policy. As soon as the land is alloted, the Sain Samaj will get a grant of Rs 11 lakh for the memorial, he added.
Others present on the occasion included Minister of the State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover, Member of Parliament from Rohtak, Dr. Arvind Sharma, BJP District President, Mr. Ajay Bansal, Deputy Commissioner, Mr. R.S. Verma, Superintendent of Police, Mr. Rahul Sharma and other dignitaries.
