Chandigarh, February 21- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that participation of each section of the Society is ensured in the budget making process for the first time in the history of the State and suggestions have been taken from the different stakeholders.
The Chief Minister said this while interacting with the media after inaugurating several development projects in Karnal.
The Chief Minister said that this year's budget will surely be pro-poor, progressive besides future-friendly. He said that MLAs, MPs, Corporates, businessmen, social organizations, representatives of women's organizations, urban local bodies, and representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions were involved in the budget-making process.
Responding to a question, the Chief Minister said that it has come to his notice that some people are misusing GST by creating bogus firms. He said that recently in Ramnagar, Karnal, a case was reported and a similar case was reported in Panipat. He said that stern action will be taken against anyone involved in such illegal acts.
Responding to another question, the Chief Minister said that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is a Central Government scheme, and if the Centre Government makes any amendment in any of its schemes, the same will be implemented by the State.
Answering another question, the Chief Minister said that the Central and State Governments bear the premium along with the farmer under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The compensation for the farmer’s damaged crop will be borne by the concerned insurance company, however, if the company does not comply the same, then stern action is taken against it, he added. He said that last year the insurance company was not paying compensation to Sirsa and Bhiwani farmers, when the same was brought to the notice of the Government, immediate action was taken against them. Later appropriate compensation was provided to the farmers.
