Chandigarh, July 14 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the present State Government has ensured reach of water to the tail ends of more than 300 canals in the state, which has benefitted the farmers considerably.

The Chief Minister was speaking during a function held at Charkhi Dadri late last evening.

While giving information in detail about the development works and public welfare programs done in last about five years, the Chief Minister said that the present government has fulfilled the all the promises in the manifesto, besides that the government has done more public works in the interest of people. The system of educated panchayats in the state, ensuring reach of water to tail ends of more than 300 canals, these included the canals of Dadri and Bhiwani districts, where there was no water in the last 30 years. Similarly, the national programme Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao has been successfully implemented by Haryana. The State is also number one in cleanliness. The State Government implemented online transfer policy and gave jobs to youth in a transparent manner. “Today, we can say that 67,000 youth have taken their jobs on the basis of their merit, while the previous government used to give jobs to their loved ones”, he added.

The Chief Minister said that 15,000-20,000 farmers are registering every day on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. The government is concerned to arrange water for the farmers. Describing Member of Parliament, Mr. Dharambir Singh as an expert in water related matters, the Chief Minister said that the work of Lakhwar, Renuka Dam is underway. Efforts are being made for Kishou Dam. In these three dams, Haryana is expected to get 47 per cent water after two years. For this, agreements are being signed. This time, on the request of the government, farmers did not cultivated paddy on 50,000 hectares, for which the farmers deserve appreciation. He said that after August 15, ‘Jan Samarthan Rath Yatra’ will be organised in the state.

The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar said that the present government gave Dadri the status of district. New subdivisions and blocks were created in Dadri. Due to this, the people of Dadri gave full support in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the government has strengthened the farmers and labourers financially by providing social security to them. After next five years in 2024, Haryana will become a financially prosperous state.

Member of Parliament, Mr. Dharambir Singh said that under the able leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, a surprising increase in the budget of Haryana has been made without putting any new taxes. The government is spending more on pension and welfare programs than its plan budget.
