Chandigarh, September 27- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the State government's priority is to develop skills of youth falling in the age group of 15 to 35 years so as to make them self-reliant.
Addressing the youth at 'Grameen Yuva Manthan' webinar organized on the eve of the 113th birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Chief Minister said that useful information in regard to youth falling in the age group of 15 to 35 years is being supervised.
In this direction, Parivar Pehchan Patras of each family is being prepared to collect important details and information regarding each family. The required details and information is to be prepared in the context of about 70 lakh families residing in Haryana.
He said that Parivar Pehchan Patras of 26.50 lakh families has been made in the state. More effective schemes can be prepared by collecting the required details and information in the context of each family, especially the youth. The schemes will be focused on the inclusion of the youth in the basic stream of development by giving them the right guidance.
While describing Shaheed Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary as the best day to inspire the youth, Chief Minister said that patriotism, sacrifice and ideology of Shaheed Bhagat Singh will always inspire the youth.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh will always remain ideal and exemplary for all the countrymen. In the direction of strengthening the country and the stat, at present youth with all their capabilities have to follow the ideals of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
Addressing the youth, the Chief Minister said that in a bid to secure the future of the youth, the state government has undertaken various reforms in the education sector. Focus is on identifying the talent of youth. Programmes have been expanded to provide opportunities for youth to showcase their talent, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the process of providing employment to the youth in the government as well as in the private sector has been accelerated. Apart from this, work is also being done to give more scope to traditional businesses.
Several schemes have been implemented to strengthen the agricultural sector financially. Work is also being done to expand the participation of youth in water conservation and tree plantation programmes, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that the online system has been expanded to provide benefits of welfare schemes and programmes directly to the beneficiaries. Serious work has been done so as to ensure that benefit of development scheme reaches to every underprivileged and poor persons. Unprecedented work has been done in bringing transparency in the recruitment and transfers in government services. In Haryana, remarkable work has been done to improve the gender ratio, said the Chief Minister.
It is noteworthy that this was the third programme of the Chief Minister where he directly interacted with the youth. In the 'Grameen Yuva Manthan' webinar, youth from different regions of the state directly interacted with the Chief Minister and asked various questions.
Water conservation, ground water pollution, making aforestation a mass campaign, controlling and preventing migration from rural areas, success of Saksham Yuva Yojana, setting up of a library in each village, developing Haryana as a sports hub and the work being done for the welfare of sportspersons, expansion of industries in the deprived areas and complete elimination of drugs from the state were among the questions asked by the youth during the webinar.
The Chief Minister, while responding to the queries said that the State Government aims to provide clean drinking water to 30 lakh households in rural areas. Besides this, expansion of rural and small scale industries is also being done. Apart from this establishment of Vita milk product centers will be set up in 4000 villages. He said that various works are being done for the development of sports sector.
Besides this, work is being done for the welfare of sportspersons, the expansion of industries and the efforts are being made by the Haryana Government in collaboration with the neighbouring states to control drug abuse, said the Chief Minister.
He said that the various actions and future plans are being done by the Haryana Government so as to ensure over all development.
The Chief Minister said that his topmost priority is to develop the skills of the youth and provide them good opportunities at various levels and work is being done in a systematic and committed manner.
Thousands of youth of the state participated in the 'Grameen Yuva Manthan' webinar. The webinar was coordinated by Dr. Simran, while Dr. Jaswant Shashtri welcomed the Chief Minister at the webinar programme.
