Chandigarh, July 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today visited veteran journalist Mr. Radhe Shyam Sharma at his residence in sector-7, Panchkula to enquire about his well being. The Chief Minister prayed for fast recovery and discussed about health of Mr. Sharma with his family members. Along with the Chief Minister, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu and MLA Panchkula and Chief Whip, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta also wished for fast recovery of Mr. Sharma.
During his interaction with the family members of Mr. Sharma, the Chief Minister said that Radhe Shyam Sharma has made an significant contribution to journalism. He said that Radhe Shyam Sharma is not only a noted writer and thinker, but people also respect him for fair journalism. Radhe Shyam Sharma told them about his memoirs related to the Chief Minister and other senior BJP leaders and leaders of various political parties.
Radhe Shyam Sharma has been feeling unwell for the past five months and has been in the hospital in Panchkula for treatment. Now he has been staying at his residence for the past one week.
On this occasion, about 87-year-old Radhe Shyam Sharma's son Ashok Sharma and other relatives told the Chief Minister and the Finance Minister that Radhe Shyama has been the founder editor of the Dainik Tribune newspaper in the year 1978 and founder, Vice Chancellor of Makhan Lal Chaturvedi University and Visiting Professor of Journalism in various universities including Panjab University, Banaras Hindu University and Kurukshetra University. Apart from this, he was also editorial adviser of newspapers namely Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Himachal.
