  • Chandigarh, August 1- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that since childhood, the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has always remained sensitive, diligent, compassionate, and even today, he is dedicated to the nation with the same senstiments.
  • The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after watching the special show of short film “Chalo Jeete Hain” on the life of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi at DT Mall in the IT Park, here today.
  • He said that the film depicts how Mr Narender Modi in his childhood was too eager to take his classmate to school and motivate him towards pursuing education. He said that this short film would also inspire the society to live for others and become an ideal person like him. An incident in the life of Mr Modi , has been depicted through this film.
  • He said that this film would be promoted through youtube and social media platform to inspire the people to live a dignified life.
  • Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mahavir Jain, the film is directed by the National Award winner, Mr Mangesh Hadawle. Congratulating the film producer and the whole team, the Chief Minister said that this film would surely motivate the youth with a message of hard work and patriotism.
  • Chandigarh August 1--With a view to ensuring that each family in the rural areas has own house under the ‘Housing for All Scheme’, the Haryana Government has decided that rural families in the state which neither have own house nor are in the list of eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) would be provided financial assistance for the construction of houses under the PMAY.
  • These families can apply for financial assistance to their respective Block Development and Panchayat Officer (BDPO).
  • This and several other decisions were taken at a meeting presided over by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, here today to review the progress of various important schemes and projects.
  • It was decided that an applicant desirous of getting financial assistance would be required to get the application marked either from the gram sarpanch or gram sachiv or member of zila parishad or panchayat samiti or the former sarpanch.
  • In the survey conducted by the Development and Panchayats Department, as many as 18,000 eligible beneficiaries were identified under the PMAY scheme and funds have been sanctioned for the construction of houses.
  • While reviewing the Housing for All Scheme, (Urban), the Chief Minister said the state government aimed to ensure that proper systemic housing facility was also provided to the people residing in urban slum areas.
  • The meeting decided that Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) would construct affordable houses for those living in the Rajiv Colony in Panchkula and it would be ensured that they shift to the newly constructed dwelling units.
  • Reviewing the Saubhagya Scheme to provide electricity connection to each household in the state, the Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure that all households and Dhanis have electricity connection. The state government has covered entire North Haryana under the Saubhagya Scheme by ensuring electricity connection in all 15.80 lakh households’ consumers who have applied for the same.
  • Similarly, electricity connections have also been released to all households in South Haryana except a few households in Mewat. However, a contract has already been allotted for providing electricity connections to these remaining households, the work on which would soon be started.
  • On this, the Chief Minister issued directions that wherever electricity line is available, connection would be released by the Electricity Department whereas, in the areas where electricity lines are not available, in such areas connection of solar energy should be made available. The state government is committed to providing adequate electricity supply to all its residents, he added.
  • The Chief Minister said funds of Mines and Minerals should be utilized for the development of villages, especially under the Shivdham Yojna. Funds would be released for the construction of Shivdham in those affected villages which are situated within a radius of ten-kilometers around the mine in the district.
  • Under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana to provide cashless treatment facility to patients, as many as 15.53 lakh eligible families have been identified. All the Additional Deputy Commissioners in the State have been asked to fast track work for verification of this data of beneficiaries.
  • These beneficiaries would be issued QR codes which would have the entire information feeded in it. Upon producing this code, the patient would get the treatment in any empanelled hospital. As many as 250 hospitals are likely to be empanelled in the state by August 15, 2018.
  • Among those present at the meeting included Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Additional Principal Secretary, Dr Rakesh Gupta, Deputy Principal Secretary, Mr Mandeep Brar, Additional Chief Secretary Power, Mr P.K Das, Principal Secretary Finance Mr T.V.S.N Prasad, Principal Secretary Development and Panchayats, Mr Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies, Mr Anand Mohan Sharan, Principal Secretary Mines and Geology Mr A.K Singh, Principal Secretary Housing, Mr Shrikant Walgad, and other senior officers of the state government.
  • It is worth mentioning here that,  in the changing scenario of modern lifestyle, the youth should take the motivation about hard work, struggle, strong will power and patriotism from the Quotes of Swami Vivekananda in which he said,  “They alone live,  who live for others”. Our Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi has also given this message to the world during the last four years of his tenure in the Government that how an honest, energetic and considerate person dedicated his life for the country to take it to the greater heights.
