Chandigarh, 3 February - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, who also holds the portfolio of the Finance Department, has directed all treasury offices to issue e-PPO (Pension Payment Order) to retired employees to make the services of Government Departments accessible to the people through greater use of information technology. The goal of the Chief Minister is to bring transparency in functioning.

Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that in the first phase, the e-PPO concept has been released on the basis of the pilot project in four treasury offices namely, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Karnal, and Panchkula. He informed that on the initiative of the Chief Minister, the e-PPO mechanism will be extended in all treasuries across the state commencing from March 1 and concluding by March 31, 2020.
