- Chandigarh, June 21- Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal announced to set up a ‘Yog Aayog’ in the State to promote Yoga. On the occasion of 4th International Yoga Day, he urged the people to make Yoga an integral part of their daily routine to energise their body and mind.
- The 4th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. While presiding over the State Level Yoga Programme organised on the occasion of 4th International Yoga Day at Jhajjar today, the Chief Minister said that performing Yoga Asanas lead to physical, mental and spiritual development and is helpful in all round development of personality. He said that Yoga, the glorious tradition of Indian Culture, has gained worldwide recognition today.
- Giving all credit to the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi for establishing the Indian tradition of Yoga on a global platform, Mr Manohar Lal said that it a matter of pride for us that in 2015 the United Nations passed the resolution involving 177 countries of the world for declaring this day as Yoga Day on International level. Since then it is celebrated all around the world and the future generations would definitely remember and would always be thankful for the efforts of the present Government on every Yoga Day.
- He said that to stay stress free, everyone should try to dedicate one day per week to oneself such as making Sunday as fun day. It would make the entire week stress free. This one day would allow exploring the power within and enhancing positivity in life, he advised.
- The Chief Minister said that in order to awaken the sense of happiness in the minds of people with physical development, Raahgiri programme are being organized fortnightly or monthly in all the districts of the state.
- Citing Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhaya, Mr Dhankar said that good Governance enhances the expression of culture and the present government is organizing events such as Geeta Jayanti and Yoga Day in Haryana. He thanked the people for their support and participation in the event.
- The Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankar and MLA, Mr Naresh Kaushik were also present on the occasion.
