Chandigarh October 16: Haryana Government has decided to provide exemption from payment of Motor Vehicles Tax to the buses owned by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) plying on local routes in Tri-city area of Haryana that is Panchkula.

A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of State Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal here today.

The exemption of motor vehicle tax for the vehicles owned by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) plying on local routes in Tri-city area of Haryana that is Panchkula will bring both the counter parts that is Haryana Roadways and Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) on Uniform platform and will help the seamless movement of buses in the tri-city area of Haryana and Chandigarh.
