Chandigarh, May 24: Haryana Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya and Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has greeted the people, especially the Muslim community, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. They have also extended their greetings on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti which falls on the same day.
In a message issued here today on the eve of the auspicious occasion, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya said that Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the period of fasting and prayer during the holy month of Ramzan and infuses the spirit of fraternity, brotherhood and harmony.
While greeting the people especially the Muslim brethren, the Chief Minister urged the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with the spirit of peace, love and mutual understanding which would go a long way in strengthening national unity and integrity.
Extending his greetings on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, the Governor said that Maharana Pratap was a great warrior, known for his courage and valour.
In his message, Mr. Manohar Lal described Maharana Pratap as one of India's greatest warrior who will always be remembered and continue to inspire every Indian.
Meanwhile, Governor, Mr. Satyadeo Narain Arya and Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has urged the people of the state to follow the social distancing norms while celebrating the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr and Maharana Pratap Jayanti.
