Chandigarh June 7: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today directed to immediately initiate the process for making the availability of a taruma centre each after a distance of 60 kms all over the state so that timely specialised medical treatment could be provided to road accident victims. For this, he directed the Health and Family Welfare Department to get conducted the mapping of Trauma Centres in the State and earmarked those locations where the distance between two such centres is more than 60 kilometers.
Mr Manohar Lal was presiding over the meeting to review the progress of Chief Minister’s announcement of various departments including Health and Family Welfare, Cooperation, Industries and Commerce, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), Skill Development and Industrial Training, Power, Forests and Wild Life and Public Health Engineering here today.
The Chief Minister also directed the department to prepare a district wise list of number of X-ray machines, MRI machines and other major equipment available in the government hospitals in the State so that these could be made available in those hospitals which do not have this facility. Besides, he also sought the list of de-addiction centres running in the State. He was informed that Cath labs are operational in four district hospitals in the State and the number of these labs is being further increased to facilitate maximum number of patients. Similarly, facility of MRI machine has been made available in nine district hospitals and of dialysis in 14 hospitals.
It was informed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed with Government of India for the setting up of Trauma Centre at civil hospital, Narnaul. Now, with the signing of MOU, the construction work for the setting of this centre would soon be started.
While reviewing the progress of CM announcement of Cooperation Department, the Chief Minister directed to convene the meeting of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) and also prepare an action plan for strengthening cooperative banks in the State and ensure that they run into profits. It was informed that with a view to bring more transparency in the working of co-operative societies, a website has been prepared on which detail about each and every society and its members have been uploaded. The Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal would launch the website on the occasion of International Co-operative Day on July 6, 2019.
It was informed that the work for the expansion of Sugar Mill, Jind upto 2200 MTPD and to increase the crushing capacity of Palwal Sugar Mill would be completed well before the commencement of next season. It was informed that a Milk Chilling Centre would be established in Dabwali , district Sirsa and a Mini Milk Plant at Kalka . At present, six milk chilling plant are operational in the State and all are running in profits.
The Chief Minister directed that the Expression of Interest be re-invited for the setting up of Industrial Sector at Uchana, Narnaund and Dabwali with low land cost specifications so that maximum industries could come forward to establish their units. He also asked the HSIIDC to establish a corpus fund to be used as a cross subsidy for those setting up their units in the industrial backward areas of the State
The Chief Minister said he would soon visit village Kachhwa in district Karnal and Keorak in district Kaithal which are being developed as Mahagram. The facilities of augmentation of water supply, laying of sewer pipelines and construction of Sewerage Treatment Plants (STPs) is to be provided in all 126 villages having population of more than 10,000 under the Mahagram Yojana of the State Government.
Among those present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr Rajesh Khullar, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mrs Ashima Brar, Additional Chief Secretary Public Health and Engineering Mr Rajiv Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Cooperation Mrs Jyoti Arora, Additional Chief Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Power and works related to implementation of C.M. announcements Mr T.C Gupta, Managing Director, Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited Mr Mukul Kumar, Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Mr Shekhar Vidyarthi and other senior officers of the State Government.
Chandigarh, June 7 – Haryana Government has decided to enhance the assistance being given under contingency plan made for providing adhoc grant, travelling allowance and transport money, local expenditure and daily allowance to a victim of atrocity, as per the provisions of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1995. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to this effect.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department said that in order to provide immediate relief to victim of atrocity, the Deputy Commissioner concerned used to provide adhoc grant of Rs 7,500, which has now been increased to Rs 10,000. Similarly, the lump sum travelling allowance and transport money given to the victim of atrocity, his or her dependent and witness has been enhanced from Rs 100 to Rs 150 as local charges.
He said that the diet money given to the victim of atrocity, his or her dependent and witness has also been enhanced from Rs 50 to Rs 200 per day. He said that the travelling allowance, transport or daily allowance and diet money will be sanctioned by the District Welfare Officer concerned from contingency funds immediately after the hearing or witness on the same day. For this purpose, Rs 50,000 was kept at the disposal of every District Welfare Officer, which has now been increased to Rs one lakh so that the amount can be spent according to the requirement.
The spokesman said that in case of complete destruction or burning of house, the victim will be given the benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural or Urban as the case may be) on top priority. In case the victim does not fulfil any of the terms or conditions of scheme, the Deputy Commissioner concerned would be competent to give relaxation in the said terms and conditions.
