Chandigarh, June 9 – In Haryana, the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has taken several important decisions for better works in the health and nutrition sector of women and children.

Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal along with Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs. Smriti Zubin Irani held a meeting to discuss several points in the context of 'new records which can be established by the state in view of better health and nutrition of women and children', at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi.

Interacting with the media persons after the meeting, the Chief Minister said that this is the first meeting of the Union Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Smriti Zubin Irani with any state.

Mrs. Irani said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has taken many decisions in the meeting and issued several directions. The way Haryana Chief Minister has set a record in the direction of the success of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi's 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao' program, the same way, Haryana will set new record in the field of health and nutrition of women and children in the state. The Union Minister said that a meeting in the context of 'Women's Protection and Women Education' will also be held with Haryana Chief Minister.

Apart from the senior officials of Union Women and Child Development Ministry, the officials of the NITI Aayog were also present in the meeting.
