Chandigarh, June 22– Project Director, Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates Programme, Dr. Rakesh Gupta said that a state-level ‘Saksham Samman Samaroh’ will be organized in Panchkula on July 3, 2019. In this function, the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will honor those, who have been doing commendable work to make the state Saksham in the field of education.
Dr. Gupta was reviewing various schemes with the officials of across the state through Video Conferencing.
He said that many officers of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and NITI Ayog will also attend this state level function. He said that as a result of the Saksham Yojana, Haryana has established distinct identity at the national level and the teams of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab States had visited the state recently and inquired in detail about the Saksham Yojana so that they could also implement this scheme in their states. He said that the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and NITI Ayog have also appreciated the Saksham Yojana and many states are enthusiastic to study the Saksham Yojana.
Dr. Gupta said that the government is trying to further improve the level of government schools. Therefore, special emphasis will be laid on students of ninth class so that the result of secondary school will improve further. He said that interest of students of government schools will be increased in competitive examinations like NTSE and IIT-JEE Mains as well as career counseling. He said that after making all the districts of the State Saksham and Saksham Plus, work on Saksham 2.0 will be started in August. Under this, students will be made Saksham in all six subjects except Hindi, Mathematics and English, so that they may not be left behind in any field in the era of competition.
Project Director said that in the forthcoming Batch of Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associates, focus will be security and education. Apart from this, the Associates will work closely on the security of women and girls. He said that this year, the Good Governance Associates have done commendable work in Antyodaya Saral Kendra and Saksham Yojana. He also took feedback of Good Governance Associates from all the Deputy Commissioners.
Dr. Gupta said that the schemes and services have so far been implemented online effectively in the Antyodaya Saral Kendras and Atal Seva Kendras. Now, it is being ensured that people are aware of all schemes and they get benefits of these schemes and services. He said that according to Vision of the Prime Minister, the emphasis is on making the state the completely digital and paperless. He also issued necessary guidelines to the nodal officers of the Antyodaya Saral Kendras.
The Project Director reviewed a number of schemes including Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques, MTP Act, Medical Intoxicant, the POCSO Act, CM Window, Social Media Grievance Tracker, Haryana Vision Zero, Haryana Roadways Turnout and Public Library. He directed the officers to review these schemes every month, to make more improvement, and to ensure the benefit of the facilities should reach to the citizens.
Dr. Gupta said that the doctors of Health Department should take strict action for the effective implementation of the Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act and the cases of the POCSO Act should be defended actively. He said that under the CM window, there should not be any pending grievance of the year 2017-18. He also directed to accelerate the pace of awareness campaign to reduce road accidents under Haryana Vision and to provide better transport services and bring the depot under profit. He said that district Nuh has performed better in the field of transport services and other districts should follow it.
