Chandigarh, July 5 – Haryana Government will celebrate the International Cooperative Day-2019 at Yamunanagar on July 6, 2019. In this function, the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be the chief guest.

Giving information in this regard, an official spokesman said that on this occasion, exhibitions will be set up by cooperative organisations and cooperative societies to display their products and Dairyfed will display milk engraving data. About 12,000 participants from the primary agricultural co-operatives societies and different cooperative organisations of the state will participate in this function. It has also been decided to constitute committees of various co-operative heads for success of the function. Three best performing cooperative societies will be honoured in this function. On this occasion, a welcome gate will be made by HAFED, he added.

He said that during the tenure of the present State Government, the Cooperation Department has make several strides and maximum people have joined cooperatives. The main objective of cooperatives is to create cooperative societies by linking farmers, labourers and women of the rural areas to these societies and ensure reach of cooperatives to poor people with the spirit of antyodaya.
