Chandigarh, July 12 - Haryana Government has approved the posts of five Project Officers each for all Zila Parishads in the state for better implementation of important schemes of the Central and State Governments being run in the state so that the benefits of these schemes could reach the people at the earliest. All these posts will be filled on contractual basis and 110 posts have been approved for all 22 Zila Parishads in the state.
While giving information in this regard here today, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu said that the academic qualifications and work experience have been prescribed for these posts and the Project Officers will be given a remuneration of Rs 40,000 per month.
He said that following the demand of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Development and Panchayats Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankhar and on the directions of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, 110 posts of Project Officers have been approved for the better functioning of the Zilla Parishads. He said that the posts of Project Officer have been approved for every Zila Parishad for the schemes related to education and health, agriculture and animal husbandry, commerce and economics, welfare schemes and panchayati raj.
Capt. Abhimanyu said that the State Government has given Zilla Parishads the charge of schemes such as District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee (MNREGA), Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP). He said that new posts of Project Officers have been created for proper implementation of these schemes and better operation. He said that the academic qualifications of MBA, Masters in Social Science, Masters in Economics and B.Tech have been prescribed for these posts.
The Finance Minister said that recruitment to these posts will be made under the outsourcing policy on contract basis through Selection Committee constituted by the Zilla Parishad. With the creation of these posts, the annual cost of remuneration will be around Rs 6.25 crore.
