Chandigarh, July 23 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal presented another example of his generosity and sensitivity when, after his intervention, a minor child of village Jatusana in district Rewari became a holder of special BPL card.
It is worth mentioning here that after the intervention of Chief Minister, Hrithik has become the first minor in Haryana, whose special BPL card has been made. On July 13, the case of Hrithik came to light, on which the Deputy Commissioner, Rewari, took immediate action and called the child for completing the formalities of issuing the ration card. Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner had conveyed the matter to the Chief Minister's Office regarding the technical difficulties arising out in making the ration card.
Taking cognizance on this, the Chief Minister made special case and ordered the concerned department to immediately take action and issue ration card.
Earlier in another incident, the Chief Minister on seeing an elderly person, mending shoes in Shahbad, Kurukshetra, enquired about his well-being and gave assistance of Rs 50,000 for setting up his ‘Khoka’ and also directed to provide financial assistance for the repair of his house and for purchasing equipment.
In another such case, Pramod Talwar of Karnal, who was a heart patient and his surgery was to be performed, his daughter Rachna Talwar had got him admitted to the hospital where he underwent surgery, but the Talwar family was unable to pay for the operation. When this matter came to the notice of the Chief Minister, he gave an amount of Rs two lakh and today the Talwar family is living happily in Karnal together.

Hrithik is a student studying in class VII in the Government School of village Jatusana. When he was 5 years old, his mother left the house. When he was 9 years old, his father died due to TB disease. Grandparents are alive, but they are not keeping well and need someone to support them. He has two uncles, who do labour work and can hardly feed themselves. Hrithik's daily routine is that he lives alone in the house. Due to poor condition of family, his father start doing labour work after leaving the village eight years ago. In his absence, the team of BPL Survey came to their village and canceled their BPL card and also canceled the 100 square yards plot given to them. His father came back to the village on December 4, 2012, and got made a new APR ration card, which helped them survive. Due to TB disease, his father died in 2016. In order to get his father’s name removed from the ration card, Hrithik visited the Food and Supplies Department with someone. Due to some technical issues, it was not possible to make the ration card, which has now been made with the intervention of the Chief Minister.
