Chandigarh, July 25 – In order to encourage the meritorious students of Haryana and connect them with the new technology, laptops will be distributed in the state-level ‘Saksham Samman Samaroh' which will be held in Panchkula on July 26, 2019. The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be chief guest in the function and Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma will preside over the function.

Director General, School Education Department, Dr. Rakesh Gupta said that in the function, the Chief Minister will also launch the Online Service Book, the Saksham Sameeksha App, the CM Saksham Scholarship, the Saksham Adhyapak App, the Saksham District Score-Card.

The Chief Minister will honour those who have contributed to the success of Saksham Haryana, which was launched with the aim of enhancing the quality of education across the state alongwith 23 meritorious students of Ambala division, who have perform well in the class 10th results of the academic session 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19 exams. At the same time, the Deputy Commissioners will honor the meritorious students in Saksham Samman Samarohs in their respective districts. A total of 640 meritorious students will be given laptops. All districts will be connected with state level function of Panchkula through video conferencing. The Chief Minister and the Education Minister will also interact with students participating in district level function through video conferencing.

It is worth mentioning that the state has performed well in the Saksham Haryana programme, which was started in October 2017. Moving further in this direction, work on Saksham 2.0 will start from month of August. Honouring the District Education Officers, District Primary Education Officers, District Project Coordinators, Diet-Principals and Block Education Officers, Block Primary Education Officers, Heads of School, who have contributed in making the Saksham Haryana programme a success, will not only encourage them, but it will also act as a source of inspiration for others.
