Chandigarh, July 26 – On the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal paid tributes to Kargil martyrs by laying a wreath on the war memorial in Panchkula near here today. Earlier, a police contingent paid homage to the martyrs and the Chief Minister bowed down to pay homage to the sacrifice of the martyrs.
The Chief Minister said that the debt of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for safeguarding of the motherland, can never be paid and the people of the country will always remember their martyrdom. He said that 527 brave soldiers of the country had sacrificed their lives in Kargil.
He said that the forces of the country are fully capable to face any challenge of the enemy and our Armed forces are world famous for their bravery.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also interacted with ex-servicemen and prayed for their better health.
