Chandigarh, August 3 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal inaugurated and laid foundation of five developmental projects worth Rs 27.18 crore in Karnal today.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that two development works worth Rs 11.88 crore were inaugurated and foundation stones of three projects of Rs 15.30 crore were laid.
The Spokesman said that the Chief Minister inaugurated the Sewerage Treatment Plant based on the SBR Technology in Gharaunda. The plant, costing around Rs 8.31 crore has been set up by the Department of Public Health for treating water.
He said that the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Smart education project for the improvement of the education system for the schools in Karnal. He said that the center has been set up with an amount of Rs 3.57 crore. The Spokesman said that the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a Primary Health Centres (PHC) to be built in Ramba village of Indri constituency. He said that an amount of Rs 4.31 crore will be spent on the construction of PHC. He said that similarly, an amount of Rs 4.23 crore will be spent on constructing a PHC in Khukni.
He said that the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Cadet mess, Sainik School, Kunjpura. An amount of Rs 6.76 crore will be spent on the construction of the Mess.
Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj, MLA, Mr Harvinder Singh Kalyan, OSD to CM, Amarendra Singh, Mayor Ms Renu Bala Gupta, Vice President of Swachh Bharat Mission Haryana, Subhash Chandra and senior officials were present on the occasion.
