Chandigarh, August 4 - A lot of enthusiasm was witnessed among the people of the state during the state-level function organized on the 550th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Sirsa, Haryana, today. A large number of devotees come from all across the state to pay obeisance to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and become a part of this grand ceremony.
Adequate arrangements have been made for the convenience of the devotees who came to participate in the state level function and celebrations in coordination with all the communities and institutions which made the event as a symbol of brotherhood and harmony.
An exhibition titled ‘Rabab to Nagada’ on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji's was centre of attraction for all the visiting dignitaries as well as devotees. While Shri Guru Nanak Dev ji delivered the divine message of brotherhood and humanity to his people, Shri Guru Gobind Singh brought awareness among people. The people started coming to see the exhibition a day before the function on August 3, 2019. The exhibition hall was made fully air-conditioned for the comfort of people.
The Chief Minister Manohar Lal played musical instruments ‘Rabab’ and ‘Nagada’ and went round the exhibition accompanied by State BJP President, Mr Subhash Barala, Director, Punjabi Sahitya Akademy, Mr Gurvinder Singh Dhamija and Director, Urdu Sahitya Akademy, Dr Chander Trikha.
Three thousand buses were plied by the government for the devotees, who came not only from the state but also from neighbouring states. Many religious and social organizations also offered free vehicle service. The ‘Langars’ were also arranged by various religious and social organizations in the ceremony.
The Chief Minister served the Parshada to the devotees and also had Parshada in the langar hall sitting along with other devotees.
Beautifully decorated Pandals welcomed the devotees. The live telecast of the main stage programme continued throughout the day on the large LED screen on the venue.
A state-of-the-art media center was set up at the venue with all facilities for media persons. For the convenience of the media in the Media Center, 50 computers with fast speed internet facility were installed. Proper seating arrangements were also made for media persons. Large LED screens were also installed in the media center through which the media persons could watch the live broadcast of the main event sitting here.
