Chandigarh August 6: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, said that with a view ensure that the State youth get the maximum employment opportunities; it has been decided to provide more facilities to those industries that would provide employment to the local youth.

Mr Manohar Lal was giving his reply on the concluding day of Monsoon Session of Vidhan Sabha here today.

He said that 69,000 jobs have so far been provided by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). This, he said, is in addition to the jobs provided by the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC). Apart from this, about 3.50 lakh people have got employment in Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the State.

The Chief Minister said that the present State Government has taken several initiatives for the welfare of employees. He said that though the previous governments in the State made large scale recruitment through back door entry, the present State Government has ensured that they are not removed from the services. He said that despite of judgement by the Supreme Court against the Guest Teachers, the present State Government has enacted a new Act which allows continuity of their services till they attain the age of retirement.

He said that the present State Government has also given jobs of HCS to 38 non-tainted candidates out of 102 candidates in the year 2016, even though there selection was made in the year 2004. Similarly, 5000 youth of Haryana Industrial Security Force (HISF) selected earlier have been appointed as SPOs. Apart from this, 2189 computer teachers and 2315 lab assistant have also been allowed to continue their services.

The Chief Minister said about 66,000 youth has been provided 100 hour work under the Saksham Scheme. Out of these, 22,000 youth have got regular employment, he added. He said that the employees are well aware of the fact that only the present State Government is their real well wisher.

He said that the State Government has also decided that apart from the sewer men, insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh would also be provided to those who are involved in risky work like fire men, line men, assistant line men and boiler attendant.
