Chandigarh, Aug 10 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be part of Chief Ministers Delegation to Vladivostok, Russia from August 11 to 14, 2019, which will be lead by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that in the run-up to Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi’s visit to the Far East Region of Russia to attend the Eastern Economic Forum in September 2019, the Union Minister, Mr. Piyush Goyal, is leading a Chief Ministers Delegation to Vladivostok.
He said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will be leading the Oil, Gas and Rare Earth Sector with delegates from national PSUs. He will be accompanied by senior officials from the Haryana Government and over 10 eminent business leaders from the State from sectors including Agri Business and Food Processing, Technical Education, Automobile Manufacturing, Real Estate, Timber and Healthcare looking to explore trade and investment opportunities. The Yamunanagar plywood cluster representatives form an integral part of the delegation, with the support of the Russian Government, they can benefit from the cost-competitive import of timber from the region.
The Haryana Government intends to enter into MoUs with the Far Eastern Provinces of Sakha (Yakatukia) and Khabarovsk Territory for import of Timber, with Primorsky Krai in the sectors of Healthcare, Education and Automobile and with Kamachatka Krai for Real Estate development in the region. In addition, Investment Intentions have been declared by several business delegates of Haryana, who are keen to further interact with the Russian Government representatives and the local Russian Business community of the Far East Region through this platform.
The spokesman said that with the intention of carrying forward Government of India’s sustained and focused efforts to cultivate business relations with the resource rich Russia’s Far Eastern Region, Chief Ministers of Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Goa along with senior officials from several ministries of Government of India and prominent business delegates would travel with Mr. Piyush Goyal to Vladivostok.
