Chandigarh, August 14- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that it is a part of Indian culture that people come forward to assist in the relief works during natural calamities. Apart from government efforts, Boards and Corporations under government should also make maximum contribution to help the affected people.
On the behalf of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited, Additional Chief Secretary, Power Mr. T.C. Gupta, Managing Director, Mohammed Shayin and Chairman of Power Corporations, Mr Shatrujeet Kapur presented a cheque of Rs. 5 crore to Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal towards Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal praised the team of officers led by Mr. T.C. Gupta for presenting the cheque to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Apart from this, on the behalf of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited, a cheque of Rs. 37,58,79,800 was handed over to Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Mr. T.V.S.N Prasad by Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department, Mr. T.C. Gupta, in the presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, for Fiscal Year 2018-19.
Mr T.C. Gupta said that the cheque is on account of Dividend payout for the Fiscal Year 2018-19 for the equity investment of the State Government in the APCPL (Aravali Power Corporation Private Limited) a joint venture company of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Haryana.
He further stated that the Haryana Government is having 25 per cent equity (Rs.716.50 crore) in the APCPL and 50 per cent power of 3x500 MW Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project (IGSTPP) situated in Jhajjar District is being supplied to the State.
APCPL has declared a Dividend @10.24 per cent in Fiscal Year 2018-19. Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) had earlier also paid an amount of Rs. 63.41 crore in cash and Rs. 72.42 crore on Right issue basis towards dividend payouts declared by APCPL for FY 2015-16 to 2018-19 to the State Government.
Chandigarh, August 14- On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Haryana Government has decided to provide free travel facility to all the women of the state and their children up to 15 years of age in the ordinary buses of Haryana State Transport as well as in private buses and buses of cooperative societies under Stage Carriage Scheme.
The Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, the present government has announced this gift to women and children on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. This facility is available from 12 noon on August 14 till 12 Midnight of August 15, 2019. This facility would be available within the state, including Delhi and Chandigarh. In this regards, directions have been issued to all the depot General Managers.
