Chandigarh, August 29- With a view to provide better medical facilities and to further the campaign of ‘Swasth Bharat, Shashakt Bharat’ (Healthy India, Empowered India), the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi will inaugurate Health and Wellness Centers set up in the selected districts all over the country on August 30, 2019, at National level through digital link.

Along with this, Health and Wellness Centers set up in various districts of Haryana will also be inaugurated. On this occasion, a state level function will also be held, at Red Bishop, Panchkula on August 30.

Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would be the Chief Guest in this state-level programme, while Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr. Rattan Lal Kataria and MLA, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta would also be present.

He said that the Union Ministry of AYUSH has planned to open 12,500 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers across the country in three years under the National AYUSH Mission. Under this scheme, 4,200 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers would be opened across the country, this year.

It is a matter of great pride that the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana was also first launched from Haryana and the second important scheme of Ayushman Bharat, AYUSH Health and Wellness Center scheme is also being launched first from Haryana, by the Prime Minister, through the digital link.
