Chandigarh, Aug 31 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the government has done more than it had promised in the last 5 years, whether it is to supply 24 hours power to villages or to provide jobs in a transparent manner on merit basis.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people at village Mirpur in Narnaul today.
He said that today 24 hours electricity is being supplied to 4137 villages of the state. He has appealed to the people of the state that if they want electricity in their village for 24 hours, they will have to get their electricity meters installed outside their houses, stop electricity theft and pay the outstanding electricity bills. For this, the government will provide the facility to pay the last one year outstanding bill in six installments. He promised to ensure 24 hours power supply within 30 days if all the formalities would be fulfilled.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that the youth in Haryana have got jobs in a transparent manner. He said that if the leader, officers and employees are honest, then the people also have to move forward by being honest. He said that online facility has been provided to the people so that they will not have to visit the officers and government offices. Now any person can avail benefits of government schemes at home, he added.
He said that old pump and machinery have been replaced by spending an amount of Rs 143 crore on the lift irrigation project in South Haryana. As a result, water has reached at the tail ends of more than 300 canals. He said that after 11 years, the process of making BPL ration cards has been started, now any eligible person, whose monthly income is up to Rs 15,000, can get his name listed in the BPL list. He said that more than 25,000 persons have been benefited under Ayushman Yojana and under this, free treatment facility of up to Rs five lakh is being provided.
Addressing the people, Member of Parliament, Mr. Dharambir Singh said that in the last 5 years, the Chief Minister has made new Haryana and shown the people how to work honestly by rising above regionalism. He said that after the availability of water in the South Haryana, the district is also moving forward in farming activities like other districts such as Ambala, Kurukshetra and Karnal.
