Chandigarh, Sep 5 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 14 development projects costing about Rs 49 crore during the Jan Aashirwad Yatra in Uchana Assembly constituency of district Jind today.

The Chief Minister inaugurated five projects, including the inauguration of construction work of a 50-bedded civil hospital building at Uchana Mandi costing Rs 7.26 crore, connecting road from Badhana to Thua Via Dahola costing about Rs four crore, CHC at Aleva costing about Rs 5.92 crore, connecting road from Lake to Ghaso Kalan railway station and from Safakheri to Ghaso Kalan costing about Rs two crore and inauguration of of PHC in Naguran costing about Rs 3.37 crore.

Similarly, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones of nine development projects, including widening and strengthening of the Penga road from Katwal at a cost of about Rs 3.19 crore, reconstruction of Chhatar Minor at a cost of about Rs 2.58 crore, reconstruction of 1-L Barsola Sub-Minor at a cost of Rs. 1.56 crore, reconstruction of Tarkha Minor at a cost of Rs. 99.26 lakh, construction work of laying underground pipeline of Khapad Minor at a cost of Rs. 87.33 lakh, connecting road from Penga to Thua at a cost of Rs. 99.58 lakh, upgradation of Chhatar procurement centre and making it sub yard at a cost of about Rs 8.32 crore, 33 KV sub-station to be built at Sandil at a cost of about Rs 4.62 crore and PHC at Karsindhu at a cost of Rs. 3.60 crore.

Mr. Manohar Lal said that 2.5 crore people of Haryana are his family and new schemes are being introduced for the family members. With the implementation of these schemes, the life of people will be made simple and easy.

He said that following the advice of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, he has cured his throat by practicing yoga. He suggested people to take care of their health. “If you stay healthy, the country will be healthy and will move forward”, he added.

Others present on the occasion included Member of Parliament (MP), Chaudhary Birender Singh, MPs namely Mr. Brijendra Singh, Mr. Ramesh Kaushik and Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, MLA Jind, Dr. Krishna Midha, MLA Uchana, Mrs. Prem Lata, MLA Safidon, Mr. Jasbir Deswal and other dignitaries.
