Chandigarh September 6: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that now no criminal would get any sort of political protection in the State . Besides, proper security of people would be ensured.

Mr Manohar Lal was addressing a huge gathering during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Sirsa today.

He said that with the blessings of people, he became the Chief Minister of State in 2014 and in these five years his government has worked with transparency and without any discrimination. He said that the way cities like Karnal, Gurugram and Faridabad has been developed, in the similar manner, development of Sirsa has also been ensured by the present State Government. As a result of the rising graph of BJP, the opposition parties in the State have lost their ground and they are forced to change their party president and form alliance with other political parties. But, they have no base in the State, he asserted.

Mr Manohar Lal further said that the present State Government has ensured sufficient supply of electricity in villages. He also appreciated the people of Sirsa for cooperating the electricity department be it the work of installation of electricity meters or replacement of wires. He said that now the people have also started paying electricity bills.

He said that the present State Government has given compensation of Rs 700 crore in Sirsa district alone on account of damage to Narma crop due to attack of white fly. He said that steps have been taken for the welfare of all sections of the society including farmers, traders, sports person and senior citizen.

The Chief Minister said that recently the state government has waived off interest and penalty on crop loans of farmers taken from cooperative banks. This would benefit about 10 lakh farmers to the tune of Rs 4750 crore. He said that the government has also implemented Mukhyamnatri Parivar Samridhi Yojana under which poor people would be provided financial benefits of upto Rs 6000 annually.

He said that people of the State are satisfied with the working of present State Government. Government jobs are being given on merit basis and this has given a positive message among the people. He said that besides the development works, the present State Government has also worked towards improving the living standard of people.

Earlier, MP Sirsa Mrs Sunita Duggal welcomed the Chief Minister on the arrival of Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Sirsa.

The Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Dr Banwari Lal, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Mr Karan Dev Kamboj and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
