Chandigarh, September 7- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today urged the people to inform the police if in case of having any information related to anti-national elements involved in the drug trade. The name of the person or organization giving such information would be kept secret.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people in Sirsa during the Jan Aashirwad Yatra, late last evening.
He said that the state government would lend its full support to the youth who want to quit drug addiction. Such youth, would be provided with medical facilities. The youth would be also provided the opportunity to make them self employable by providing funds to do their work according to their capability.
He said that lately, a meeting of eight states of North India was held in Chandigarh, in which mutual coordination was considered to curb the illegal trade of drugs. In the meeting, the decision was taken to constitute a special task force. In Haryana also such task force has also been formed to stop the illegal drug trade, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the present state government is giving jobs from Group C and D to HCS level only on merit basis. He said that the present government has worked to change the system by giving corruption free administration and provided relief to the employees by implementing online transfer policy in most of the departments.
While taking a dig on the opposition parties, the Chief Minister said that those who used to give statements that he is inexperienced and naive and predicted that his government would run not more than from six months to two years, they now calling him a experienced politician. He said that the 2.5 crore people of the state are his family and he has been serving them as family for the last five years. He said that providing education, health, security would be his main objective in the next term, he added.
