Chandigarh, September 12- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 56 projects to the tune of Rs 1363 crore, of Panchkula, Jind and Karnal districts.

The Chief Minister today inaugurated projects of Panchkula and Jind districts through video conferencing and unveiled the projects of Karnal district on the spot from Dr. Mangal Sen Auditorium, Karnal. These projects included four projects of district Panchkula at the cost of about Rs 705 crore, 47 projects in Karnal district at the cost of Rs 585 crore and four projects in Jind district at the cost of Rs 73 crore. The Chief Minister also performed bhoomi pujan for the expansion work of Karnal Sugarmill at a cost of Rs 263 crore.

The projects worth Rs 705 crore in Panchkula included the laying of foundation stone of 7,500 houses to be constructed in Sector 20 and 28, Panchkula for the rehabilitation of slum dwellers of Rajiv-Indira Colony and Khadak Mangoli at a cost of Rs 650 crore, for the construction of connecting road for sector 20,21 and sector-24,26 and construction of bridge on Ghaggar river at the cost of Rs 50.37 crore, construction of building Community Hall in sector -32, at the cost Rs. 4.42 crore and inauguration of contemporary artworks by renowned craftsmen at Mata Mansa Devi premises with the support of Arts and Cultural Affairs Department, at the cost of Rs 25 lakh.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of development projects in district Jind, at the cost of about Rs 73 crore, which included laying of foundation stone of Uchana bypass to connect Narwana-Jind road to Uchana-Litani road in Unchana city at the cost of about Rs 58 crore, lift project at a cost of Rs 9.50 crore in Dumarkha Khurd, Sudkaim Kala, Kabrachha, Alipura, Genda kheda, Karsindhu and Kuchrana Khurd, lift project at a cost of Rs. 1.96 crore in Ghaso Khurd and Ghaso Kalan and construction of a multipurpose hall at Dumrukha Kalan at the cost of Rs 3.25 crore.

The Chief Minister inaugurated 10 projects in Karnal, including the office of Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Munak at a cost of over Rs 1.96 crore, District Auditorium at a cost of Rs 10 crore, work of Synthetic Track of Karna Stadium at the cost of over Rs 7.96 crore, the work of strengthening, improvement and interlocking of road in village Daniyalpur at a cost of Rs. 93.74 lakh, 6 laning work from Agrasen Chowk to Baldi bypass at a cost of over Rs. 5.26 crore, construction work of new road from Musepur to Indri Road-Garhi Birbal road, near Tusang Bridge at the cost of over Rs 1.27 crore, from Mehmadpur-Jadauli Road to Kunjpura-Mughalmajra Road at the cost of over Rs 1.09 crore, improvement of water supply and sewerage system in 27 new legal colonies and 9 villages under Karnal Municipal Corporation at a cost of over Rs 46.99 crore. Also inauguration of Shiv vahan shed, driver roon and puja sthal works at Shivpuri of Jundla Gate under Karnal Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs 35.60 lakh and Block of Nursing and Physiotherapy at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of Health Sciences, Kutail, at the cost of Rs 26.90 crore.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 37 projects in Karnal.
