Chandigarh, Sept 12 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that in the last five years, the State Government has taken various steps to bring in positive changes in the system to make it more transparent and people friendly. Besides, the government has introduced many welfare schemes to ensure every person in the State gets the benefit of all schemes.

The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of various development projects at Karnal today.

The Chief Minister said that in the last five years, the government has introduced many such schemes for farmers, labourers, traders, shopkeepers, women and peoples belonging to Scheduled Castes families to raise their standard of living.

He said that the salary of the Safai Karamcharis has also been increased. Now, Safai Karamcharis in urban areas will get Rs 15000 instead of Rs 13500 and those in rural areas will get Rs 12500 instead of Rs 11000. Similarly, the government has decided to provide EPF facility to Chowkidars.

Mr. Manohar Lal said that in the last 5 years, people of the state have been benefitted by introducing CM Window facility. He said that about 6.24 lakh complaints were received, out of which 5.80 lakh were resolved and now the people do not have to visit the offices to get their works done.

He said that in order to ensure that people do not face any problems, the government has made such arrangements that the benefits of schemes and facilities are now reaching to their doorsteps.

Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr. Karan Dev Kamboj thanked the Chief Minister for giving a bonanza of incentives to Karnal. He said that under the proficient leadership of the Chief Minister, significant changes can be seen in the State. He said that during the Chief Minister’s tenure, equitable development has been carried out across the state. He said that development works worth crores of rupees have been done even in the areas where the MLAs were of opposition parties.
