Chandigarh, August 21- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the divine message as delivered in the holy scripture Srimad Bhagavad Gita is the best in the world, for life management, which is why the world's top management institutes like Howard Business School and Kellogg School of Business have included Gita in their curriculum. He said that the Holy scripture, Gita, is not only important from philosophical and spiritual point of view but it has vast utility in daily life. The great personalities of India as well as abroad have realized the importance of Gita and adopted it in their lives.
The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of Sound, Water and Light multimedia show at Jyotisar in Kurukshetra late last evening.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid obeisance to Holy Scripture, Gita and then inaugurated Sound, Water and Light Multimedia Show constructed at a cost of about Rs 8 crore.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated Primary Health Center constructed at a cost of Rs 5.19 crore at Barna, four-laning and extension project of 20 km long Saharanpur-Kurukshetra road from Pipali to Ladwa at a cost of Rs 9 crore, construction of Vidyut Bhawan in Kurukshetra at a cost of Rs 9.81 crore, DI pipeline of about 20 colonies at a cost of Rs 12.62 crore, a sewerage pipeline project of about 20 colonies at a cost of Rs 39.50 crore and 25 MLD sewage treatment plant project constructed at a cost of Rs 27 crore in village Narkartari.
Mr Manohar Lal said that once again, the whole world would get an opportunity to remember the message and teachings of holy book, Gita at Jyotisar. These teachings would provide good education and values to the younger generation. With these objectives, Sound, Water and Light Multimedia Show has been set up in collaboration with TRL Rice Land Private Limited, Gurugram. This multi media show project has been constructed by TRL Rice Land Private Limited, Gurugram in memory of Narsidas Thakkar. The company would also look after the maintenance work for the next two years and after this, the project would be supervised by the Kurukshetra Development Board. Latest technology has been used in this project and this multimedia show would be loved by tourists.
During the show, important dramatic episodes of Mahabharata along with the Gita were shown. This unique 34-minute multimedia show would enlighten the tourists through a beautiful combination of film, light, animation, sound and water fountains and lights.
He said that on the holy land of Kurukshetra, the message of Gita was delivered by Lord Krishna to Arjuna. He said that we have started celebrating International Gita Mahotsav to spread the philosophy of Gita to people all over the world. This year in February, International Gita Mahotsav was celebrated in Mauritius and recently in London. He said that 134 identified pilgrimages located in the radius of 48 Kos in Kurukshetra are being renovated. In 2015, Kurukshetra was included in Shri Krishna Circuit 2015 under the Swadesh Darshan Scheme by the Central Government.
