Chandigarh August 22: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 20 development projects costing about Rs 109 crore in district Karnal during his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’.
He inaugurated 10 development projects and laid foundation stone of equal number of projects of the district. The projects which have been inaugurated included sub depot bus stand in Assandh Assembly Constituency constructed at a cost of Rs 6.97 crore, layers chamber in Judicial Complex, Assandh constructed at a cost of Rs 1.30 crore and inauguration of five pond system in Ward No. 1 of Assandh city constructed at a cost of Rs 2.33 crore.
Similarly, the Chief Minister inaugurated 4 projects and laid foundation stone of one project of Gharaunda Assembly Constituency. The projects which have been inaugurated by the Chief Minister included ITI in village Bastada constructed at a cost of Rs 9.13 crore, Science Block in Government College, Gyanpura (Ghraunda) constructed at a cost of Rs 4.3 crore, Community Centre at village Kambopura constructed at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore and Welcome Game at village Uncha Samana constructed at a cost of about Rs 40 lakh. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone of work of road connecting Railway Under Bridge (RUB) and railway road Gharaunda at a cost of about Rs 11.32 crore.
On this occasion, Mr Manohar Lal also inaugurated Canal Rest House in Indri Assembly Constituency constructed by Irrigation Department at a cost of Rs 3.92 crore. Apart from this, he also inaugurated two projects and laid foundation stone of equal number of projects of Karnal Assembly Constituency.
Likewise, he laid the foundation stone of layers chambers to be constructed at District Court. He also unfurled the Tricolor at 61 feet height at Agrasen Chowk installed by Samast Aggarwal Samaj. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of 7 development projects costing Rs 54.77 crore in Nilokheri Assembly Constituency. These included new Rest House of Taraori to be constructed at a cost of Rs 4.65 crore, Rest House in Nissing at a cost of Rs 5.95 crore, increasing bedding capacity in Community Health Centre (CHC) Nilokheri at a cost of Rs 17.83 crore, Government Girls College Bastli to be constructed at a cost of Rs 18.68 crore, stadium in Majra Rodan to be constructed at a cost of Rs 2.54 crore, construction work of stadium in village Sikri at a cost of Rs 2.44 crore and foundation stone of stadium to be constructed in Samanabahu at a cost of Rs 2.68 crore.
Among those present on this occasion included Urban Local Bodies Minister Mrs Kavita Jain, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Mr Karan Dev Kamboj, MP Karnal Mr Sanjay Bhatia, MLA Gharaunda Mr Harvinder Kalyan, MLA Nilokheri Mr Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi, Mayor Karnal Ms Renu Bala Gupta, MP Rajya Sabha Mr Ram kumar Kashyap, OSD to Chief Minister Mr Amrinder Singh and Media Adviser to Chief Minister Mr Amit Arya and other prominent personalities.
