Chandigarh, August 23- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that the present state government has worked to end the old tradition or business of parchi system in getting government jobs. Maximum services have been made online by opening Atal Seva Kendras and e-Disha Kendras, so that the people do not have to make rounds of government offices.
The Chief Minister was addressing the people during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra in various villages of Gohana constituency of Sonipat district today.
Mr Manohar Lal said that the state government has also worked actively in the field of social reform by paying special attention to campaigns like Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao, Drugs de-addiction, water conservation and plantation. Similarly, the state government has also done work for farmers, small shopkeepers and other sections of the society.
He said that alike other assembly constituencies of the state, Haryana government has got carried out development works to the tune of crores of rupees in Gohana constituency and many development works are in progress. He said that Rs 6.98 crore have been spent on basic facilities in the newly registered colonies at Gohana constituency, Rs 5.5 crore laying power line from 132 KV Sub-station Harsana Kalan to 220 KV to Sub-station Gohana, over Rs 19.80 crore have been spent on NH-71A - Puthi Moi Rivada road - Gohana-Sisana, more than Rs 10.38 crore on the work of Pinana to Kakana via Dodwa Sargathal road, over Rs 8.10 crore have been spent on the construction work of Jauli to Dubhetta road, about Rs 25.5 crore on Kiloi to Pugthala via Givana-Aanwali-Bhainsawal-Bidhal Moi-Bajana road, over Rs 7.39 crore on construction of Government College, Barota (Gohana), Rs 40.52 crore on the construction of two-way overbridge from Rohtak-Gohana railway line crossing to Gohana-Jind road and Rs 14.52 crore have been spent on the improvement work of Sonipat-Gohana via Mahra, Agwanpur, Chulkana road .
He said that apart from this, the work on improvement of sewerage system in Gohana municipality at the cost of Rs 21.98 crore, construction of a central library building at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila University at the cost of Rs 7.58 crore and sports campus at the cost of Rs 9.5 crore are in progress. Similarly, work on Community Health Center in village Bhainswal Kalan at a cost of Rs. 5.8 crore, work on Gohana Old NH-71A at the cost of Rs. 12.12 crore, work on Gohana-Baroda-Julana road at the cost of over Rs. 24.1 crore, construction of Gohana-Jind Construction of 2-lane paved shoulder at a cost of Rs 132 crore 55 lakh on the road and Rs 11.11 crore works of Sonepat-Mehlana-Farmana road are in progress.
He said that the work to improve the sewerage system in Gohana municipality Gohana at the cost of Rs 21.98 crore, construction of a central library building at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila University at the cost of Rs 7.58 crore and the construction of sports campus at the cost of Rs 9.5 crore are in progress.
