Chandigarh, August 26- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that in the last five years, the present state government has worked to make life easier and comfortable for the people. The state government has provided the people relief from rounds of government offices by making maximum services online. Apart from this, every household has LPG gas connection and arrangements have been made to provide 24 hours power supply to more than 4,100 villages and in the coming time, 24 hours power supply would be ensured in the remaining villages.

The Chief Minister was addressing the people in Kharkhoda assembly constituency in Sonepat, during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra today.

Mr Manohar Lal said that in next one year, work would be done to supply water in taps of every house and water reaches every field. He appealed to the people to adopt micro irrigation as 80 per cent subsidy is being provided by the State Government on sprinkler and drip irrigation. He said that efforts were being made to bring water from SYL and Hansi Butana Link Canal and the Supreme Court has delivered its verdict in the favor of Haryana. Apart from this, the government has also signed a memorandum of understanding to bring water from Lakhwar and Renuka dams.

While addressing the people at village Hasangarh of Gadhi Sampla Kiloi assembly constituency of district Rohtak, the Chief Minister said that Sampla has been the status of Sub-Division. He said that development works to the tune of crores of rupees have been carried out in the entire assembly constituency. Road network was laid in this area and the incomplete work of Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway has been completed and industrial development would be ensured on its both sides which would generate employment opportunities to the people.

The Chief Minister said that due to its proximity to Delhi, there is a huge potential for Peri Agriculture here. Therefore, farmers should move towards cultivation of fruits and flowers instead of paddy and wheat. In the times to come, we would be able to develop Haryana at a fast speed, he added.

During the Jan Ashirwad Yatra included Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P. Dhankhar and Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr Manish Kumar Grover also addressed the people.
