Chandigarh, November 17 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has announced to set up 'Videsh Sahyog Vibhag' to give a fillip to investment and export in the State. The Chief Minister made this announcement at the Haryana State Day at the 39th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2019 at Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi today.

In his address, the Chief Minister announced that the Department would be set up to support foreign investors in Haryana and investors from Haryana who had invested in abroad. The Department will work specifically to encourage the export of agro-based products and this will strengthen the agricultural economy of Haryana. The Department will also support and assist NRIs, the Chief Minister added.

The Chief Minister, while praising the theme 'Ease of Doing Business' of the Haryana Pavilion at the 39th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2019, said that at present, State has become a land of opportunity for entrepreneurs. He praised the Art and Culture Affairs Department Haryana for organizing the cultural evening on the occasion of Haryana State Day.

The Chief Minister said that the goal of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi is to develop India's economy and increase it from 3 trillion dollars to the 5 trillion dollar and join the group countries of having the 5 trillion economy by 2024. He said that working in this direction, the Haryana government also aims to double the economy of the State to 5 crore lakh rupees by the year 2024.

He said that Haryana was ranked 14th in the country in terms of 'Ease of Doing Business'. As a result of the liberal and enterprise friendly policies of the Haryana Government, the State is currently ranked third in the country and first in the North Indian states in terms of 'Ease of Doing Business' and with the view of 'Ease of Doing Business', Haryana Government has the target of establishing as the first state in the country by the year 2020.

The Chief Minister said that all the 369 improvement points of 'Business Reform Action Point' recommended by the Government of India have been implemented in Haryana. He said that for the improvement in the business, all business approvals have been made online through single window solution www.investharyana.in.

Referring to the Saraswati River, he described Haryana as the creation of ancient Aryan period Vedas and said that according to the Archaeological Survey of India, out of 3500 archaeological sites discovered in India, 1500 archaeological sites have been found in Haryana. He said that Haryana has rich cultural and social traditions.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the Haryana Pavilion at the 39th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2019 at Pragati Maidan. Chief Administrator Trade Fair Authority Haryana and Divisional Commissioner Faridabad Dr. G. Anupama, Deputy Commissioner, Rewari and Director and Additional Secretary, Department of Arts and Culture Affairs, Mr. Yashendra Singh was present.
