Chandigarh, December 28: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that a marathon will be organized under ‘Run for Youth and Youth for Nation’ on January 12 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The youth will participate in the marathon with a new resolution to work for national interest.

The Chief Minister shared this information at the 51st province session of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad held at Baba Mastanath University Auditorium in Rohtak. He inaugurated the session by lightening a lamp.

Alwar MP Mahant Baba Balak Nath and National General Secretary of ABVP Ms. Nidhi Tripathi were present as special guests in the session.

The Chief Minister said that youth power has an important role in nation-building and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad is doing its best by incorporating these values in the youth.

He said that youth who has been imparted good education turns out to be a good citizen. Thus, when the youth of a nation are provided a suitable educational environment it helps in polishing the youth of the country. Meanwhile, social organizations like ABVP are pioneers in this exercise. He said that social organizations have an important role in motivating the youth towards national interest and giving direction to them.

The Chief Minister also said that the state government will soon start a volunteerism program. He said that the general public can participate in this program to fulfill its social responsibility. He suggested that any person without greed can join this program.
Besides basic development, other resources will also be provided by the government for the program. He also shared information about the steps taken by the state government to safeguard the interests of the daughters.

The Chief Minister said that if the student organizations go ahead with disciplinary form, the government will also cooperate in the implementation of their plans.

In the session, Chancellor of Baba Mastanath University and Mahant Baba Balak Nath MP from Alwar also motivated the youth to contribute socially by keeping them vigilant. National General Secretary of ABVP, Ms. Nidhi Tripathi, appreciated the Chief Minister's efficiency in improving the sex ratio as a result of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao national program, including steps taken by the Haryana government towards women empowerment.

ABVP state president Mr. Rajendra Dhiman said that new consciousness is being communicated in the youth organization by continuously doing remarkable work on behalf of the council in Haryana state. He informed that the council is working with the idea of personality development. The exhibition organized by the council in the province session was also visited by the guests, including the Chief Minister.

On this occasion, MP, Dr. Arvind Sharma, MP Mr. Sanjay Bhatia and other dignitaries and youth power from all over the state were present.
