Chandigarh, December 29: During his visit to village Pundrak, the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced that the state will spend an amount of Rs 1.16 crore on development work in Pundrak of Karnal district. He also said that for developing the village Kalampura of the district, a sum of Rs 1 crore will be sanctioned.

He made the announcements while visiting the villages and informed the people that there is no shortage of funds in the state. Addressing a gathering he said, Mr. Manohar Lal said that I have come to the village not as a chief minister but as a servant.

The Chief Minister came to the village Pundarak and Kalampura to express gratitude after the victory of the Assembly elections.

He also thanked the villagers for the sweeping victory of Mr Sanjay Bhatia as a Member of Parliament. The Chief Minister said that it becomes cumbersome for people to visit the offices of government employees time and again. The state has a proposal according to which the people will not have to visit the offices rather the officials will come at their doorstep. He said that the implementation of this proposal has started in the state on the sixth Good Governance Day. He said that people can meet the officials concerned directly for their rights and that it was the duty of the state to resolve public issues.

Speaking on the development works he said that the paths of the village and cremation ghats in the state are being made Pucca and the boundary walls of schools, toilets and rooms will be renovated as per the need.
