Chandigarh, December 29- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that along with overall development, the people should also be made aware of the importance of having a clean environment.
He said that in Haryana, several steps and initiatives have been started by the State Government to save the environment and under these initiatives, more and more trees are being planted. Apart from this, the school children in the State has also been connected with the plantation program so that they continue to plant and preserve it, the Chief Minister shared.
The Chief Minister was speaking after flagging off a cycle rally organized on the topic 'Save the Earth' from Sector 12, Hooda Ground, Karnal, today. Children of around 40 schools participated in the Cycle rally and for these tracking routes of 5, 10 and 15 km were built. The cycle rally started from Sector-12 and crossed at Noor Mahal Hotel, Sector-14 and then concluded at Sector-12.
The Chief Minister praised the students who had participated in the rally. He said that through this cycle rally the society will certainly get a message of keeping the environment clean.
On this occasion, MP, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia, MLA, Mr. Harwinder Kalyan, District President, Mr. Jagmohan Anand, Mayor, Mrs. Renu Bala Gupta, Executive Vice-Chairman, Haryana Swachh Bharat Mission, Mr. Subhash Chandra, and other officers were present.
