Chandigarh January 14: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal said that for the first time in the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, all the MLAs of the state would be given the opportunity to speak and discuss on different topics during the first three days. Only after that the budget would be presented so that schemes related to public interest could be included in the budget through public representatives.
Mr Manohar Lal was interacting with representatives of industrial organizations associated with the manufacturing sector in Panipat today.
He said that this is the first time that a meeting of pre-budget consultation has been held with various stake holders related to the economy before the budget in which discussion has been made with the people associated with manufacturing sector in Panipat. He said that earlier this meeting was held in Gurugram with people associated with service sector and real estate. A similar meeting has been convened in Faridabad on January 15 and thereafter in Hisar on January 16 related to agriculture and allied services. He said that a good budget would be prepared by incorporating the suggestions of various industrial organizations and MLAs, which is also the need of the hour. In the same series, a similar meeting would also be held in Panchkula, he added.
Mr Manohar Lal said that for ensuring better economic system of the State, there is a need to set high standards. The government has done a commendable job to make Haryana an energy efficient state. The line loses in the State have been brought down from 34 percent to 21 percent and it would be further reduced to 15 percent. He said that those industrial organizations would be encouraged, which would give maximum employment to the youth of the state. The State Government has established a Skill Development University to make the youth efficient and the Government would provide them training at its own expense. He said that the Industrial organizations could also hire competent youth through the portal. Apart from this, such industries would also be encouraged, which would make minimum use of land and would reuse water. On this occasion, he also interacted with the representatives of various organizations present in the meeting and took their suggestions in writing.
In the meeting, the President, Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mr Vinod Kumar Khandelwal suggested to implement the Textile policy and reduce the rate of interest of banks. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that that the Textile Policy would be implemented after the Budget Session. President of Panipat Exporters Association Mr Lalit Goyal and President of Handloom Exporters Manufacturing Association Mr Ramesh Verma said that that there are 18,000 small units of handlooms in Panipat and for this; a separate sector should be developed. He also suggested for the setting up of a lab testing center and exhibition center.
The President of Panipat Industrial Association and Roaster Spinner Association Mr Pritam Singh said that on the initiative of the state government there has been a lot of improvement in power supply particularly with the installation of individual feeders. He also thanked Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal for this.
He said that the uninterrupted power supply has also resulted in the saving of diesel oil. Not only this, the environment is also prevented from contamination due to non-running of generators. He requested the Chief Minister to install a hydraulic system of fire to deal with the incidents of fire in industries. The Chief Minister said that they should not leave any shortcomings in the NOC issued for fire as this is for the protection of industries.
Representatives of various industrial organizations participated in the meeting.
MP Mr Sanjay Bhatia welcomed the Chief Minister on behalf of all the representatives and said that all the industrial organizations have given their support to the CAA, for which he also expressed his gratitude towards them. He said that industrial organizations have given their full support to keep a check on pollution.
While throwing light on the pre-budget consultations through a presentation, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Mr TVSN Prasad said that finance is the main tool of any center. He said that Haryana has an unprecedented contribution in economy of the country and after promoting the manufacturing sector, this contribution would be further increased.
Director General of Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute of Fiscal Management, Mr Vikas Gupta said that on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal an arrangement has been made for the first time that the budget is being prepared after taking feedback from industrial organizations.
MLA Panipat (Rural) Mr Mahipal Dhanda, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Hema Sharma and Additional Deputy Commissioner Mrs Preeti were also present in the meeting.
