Chandigarh, January 14 - 'Shaurya Diwas' was celebrated at the tourist center, Kala Amb in Panipat today. Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal was the Chief Guest on this occasion.

The ceremony began with the flag hoisting ceremony and the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to brave Maratha warriors. MP Mr. Sanjay Bhatia welcomed the Chief Guest and people from other states.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that peace has been India's heritage since ancient times. He said that India considers the world as its family and Lord Buddha has given the message of peace to the entire humanity. He said that we should all work unitedly for nationalism by rising above our shallow thinking.

He said that Indian culture is the most ancient culture. To save the beliefs of Indian culture, our brave warriors fought many battles so that atrocities on people can be completely eliminated from society. He said that lakhs of people sacrificed their lives and the generation today is proud of all our ancestors and their sacrifices.

Speaking on the occasion, the father of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Mr. Nand Kumar Baghel recalled the saying of Swami Vivekananda and said that his childhood name was Narendra Dutt. He said that the country needs many such Narendra Dutts. He said that unity has tremendous power, so we all should come together and take a pledge today that Shaurya Diwas celebrations will be held at the Kala Amb Tourist Place on January 14 every year. He said that the specialty of this ceremony is that it was attended by patriots from most of the Indian states, while the citizens of Nepal also participated in this ceremony.
