Chandigarh January 27: Haryana Government has decided to start the admission process of the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Government Sanskrit Mahavidhalya, which is to come up at Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Complex in Panchkula from the coming academic session.

The Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has already laid the foundation stone of the Mahavidhalaya, which will be built on 2.10 acres of land.

Giving more information in this regard, an official spokesman said that as the construction works may take time, the Mahavidhalya would be started in the vacant hall at the upper ground floor of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Dharmarth Bhandara Committee opposite Lajwanti Guest House.

He said that for the smooth functioning of the college and its day to day functioning, a Standing Committee headed by Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department has been constituted and the Principal Secretary of Urban Local Bodies Department, Director, Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula and the Principal of the college are the members of the committee. He said that the Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board will be the secretary of this committee.

The Spokesman said that the construction Mahavidhalaya will be done by the B&R Department Haryana and its drawing would be prepared from the Department of Architecture, Haryana as per the detailed scope of work to be provided by the Higher education Department without any delay.
