Chandigarh, March 1: Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that the contribution of Saini community in India’s independence movement and in the building of the new India post-independence has been commendable.
Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal was speaking at the first state-level Maharaja Shoorsaini Jayanti function organized by Saini Samaj Sabha at the Theme Park in Kurukshetra today. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the multi-storey Mahatma Jyotiba Phule block constructed by the Samaj Sabha at a cost of Rs. 1 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the people of this community are following the great tradition of truth and non-violence.
The Chief Minister while congratulating the people of the community said that fulfilling the demands of the Saini community, after meeting the criteria of Haryana Sheri Vikas Pradhikaran, he will make efforts to get Saini Samaj Sabha a plot for building hostel and library. The pending issues of the SC and BC is being completed by the government if anything is left, the remaining backlog will be completed this year, after assessing the conditions, a nursing college will be opened in public school.
The Chief Minister said that Saini Samaj is a brave community. This community has great traditions of truth and non-violence and their ancestors have set high ideals of, religion, and sacrifice. A large population of this community has been associated with farming since ancient times. This community has given great valor warriors, great artists, great scholars and many sports talents to the country. The institutions run by this community in Haryana have done commendable work in the field of education as well as social service. These institutions have also worked hard to create modern and developed Haryana. Therefore, he has always had the love and respect for the community.
Wishing the organizers a successful event, he said that it has always been the effort of the government that all fraternities, people of all castes should move forward and should get equal rights in the society. In this direction, the government is moving forward on the policy of development of all. They are working to ensure education, health, safety and independence for all. With this goal in mind, being the Finance Minister also, the Chief Minister had discussed the budget for two months with a wide array of people and a historic budget has been introduced to remove the problems of society.
BJP state president Mr. Subhash Barala, Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency MP, Mr. Naib Singh Saini, former MP Mr. Kailasho Saini, program convenor and former MLA Dr. Pawan Saini and President of Saini Samaj Sabha, Kurukshetra, Mr. Gurnam Singh Saini also addressed the gathering.
