Chandigarh, March 14 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the Government and the Agrah Samaj are taking the country forward by working with the spirit of Antyodaya to empower the weaker sections of the society with love and goodwill. With this work of social service, we are competing with other countries in the world. The same work was started by Maharaja Agrasen thousands of years ago and today the Prime Minister is doing the same work.

The Chief Minister said this while speaking as the Chief Guest during the two-day Akhil Bharatiya Aggarwal Sammelan held at Haryana Agarwal Sabha, Panchkula today.

He said that the government has taken a new initiative to socially and economically advance those families whose annual income is Rs 1.8 Lakh. For this, family identity cards are being made as, under the Haryana Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana, such families will be given annual assistance of Rs. 6000 and with this amount, the annual premium of the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Suraksha Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Shramjeevi Mandaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandaya Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Laghu Vyapaari Pension Yojana will be paid by the government. The remaining amount will be credited to the beneficiary's bank account.

Chief Minister congratulated Agrawal representatives from 17 states at the Gateway of Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh and Shivalik region’s pride Panchkula. He said that in view of the interest of the traders, the Government constituted the Vyapar Kalyan Board and guaranteed the security of goods ranging from Rs 5 to 25 lakhs.He said that natural disasters are not within human control, so due to unseasonal rains in February last year, farmers were given compensation for damaged crops within two months. Incidentally, a similar disaster has occurred this year and the Government has ordered special Girdawari and farmers will be compensated for the loss of crops by May.

The Chief Minister said that in the case of Ease of Doing Business, Haryana is now in the third position in the country and at the first position in northern India.

Addressing the conference, Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta said that the society is moving forward on the principles given by Maharaja Agrasen. He said that the beginning of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign started from Haryana.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the helpline 8566889000 of Panchkula Agarwal Samaj.
