Chandigarh, April 13 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Haryana on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
In a message issued on this occasion, the Chief Minister described Dr. Ambedkar as a great revolutionary, legal expert and social reformer. He said that to keep the country intact, Dr. Ambedkar has given us such a constitution in which equal opportunities of development were given to all sections of the society, especially to the Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes.
He said that following the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar, the State Government is currently running various schemes for the welfare of the poor, Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of the society.
Keeping in view of the current situation prevailing due to COVID-19, the Chief Minister urged the people of the State to celebrate this Jayanti and other upcoming festivals with faith and harmony while maintaining social distancing by staying at home until the conditions become normal.
