Chandigarh, April 20- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that it is the aim of State Government to ensure each eligible beneficiary in the State gets the benefits of all welfare policies and programmes of the government. He further directed to collect a database of every family covered under Parivar Pehchan Patra. He noted that verification of over 9 lakhs families has been completed under Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana (MMPSY) scheme, therefore Higher Education institutions and schools should ask the children to fill the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra' performa at the time of admission so that the factual data of every household can be collected.
The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting with the officers, regarding the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) through video conferencing here today.
Apart from that, all those proposed to be covered under social security pensions may be covered under 'Parivar Pehchan Patra' forms, so that the data can be used by the departments to give benefit of various welfare schemes to its actual beneficiary, the Chief Minister added.
The Chief Minister said that the families covered under Public Distribution System, including, Below Poverty Line (BLP), Above Poverty Line (APL) and Other Priority Households (OPH) families should also be asked to update their family details in the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra'.
The Chief Minister said that the possibility of including domestic helps and labourers presently working in Haryana under a separate category can be explored.
During the meeting Principal Secretary, Citizen Resource Information Department and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. V. Umashankar, shared that currently, data of 18,27,537 families has been updated and added in the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra', while 12,56,311 families are enrolled in MMPSY and 9,08,259 families have been verified by the Treasury Officers.
He further shared that the plans are being made for the strengthening of MMPSY schemes through external linkages and State databases would be integrated with the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra'. He said that the entire process including beneficiary registration, verification, and disbursement of payment is paperless.
He informed that bank account validation is being carried out using the penny drop mechanism, which is first of its kind in Haryana.
In the meeting Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department, Mr. Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary Citizen Resource Information Department and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary, General Administration Department, Mr. Vijayendra Kumar, Director-General, Swarna Jayanti Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management, Mr. Vikas Gupta were present in the meeting.
