Chandigarh, April 21 – In order to ensure social distancing amongst the bank customers and to avoid huge rush at bank branches, Finance Department, Haryana has devised a website/web based URL which will help the customers to visit bank branches during the time-slot as per their convenience.
In view of outbreak of corona virus, Government of India announced lockdown in the country from March 24 to April 14 and further extended upto May 03. During the lockdown period, banks are providing essential services to the customers.
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Mahohar Lal today launched the website/web based URL (http://bankslot.haryana.gov.in) in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Mr. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Principal Secretary, DITECH, Mr. Ankur Gupta, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. V. Umashankar, Financial Advisor, Finance Department Mrs. Kiran Lekha Walia and Convener State Level Bankers Committee, Mr. DK Jain and other senior officers which will facilitate the customers to visit bank branches as per time-slot selected by them and also to get the service of cash delivery at home through Post office by using Postal Bank Service, thereby maintaining social distancing and at the same time quality service delivery.
The website/web based URL is user-friendly and the same can be used by customers using internet in smart-phone or through computer/laptop.
The features of the application are Book Your Bank Slot and Cash Delivery at Home by Postal Bank Service. The citizen can enter / search IFSC CODE of the branch and select date and slot for visiting the bank branch. After successfully booking the slot, the citizen can download the receipt of the same. The citizen can enter required details by entering his address / Pin code and place a request to withdraw amount from the Aadhaar Linked Account with minimum amount of Rs 1000 up to a limit of Rs.10,000. After successfully filling in the details, citizen can also download the receipt. The Post Office will contact the citizen and facilitate delivery of cash at home.
The application is developed by Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Government of Haryana (DITECH).
