Chandigarh, May 29 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal examined the working of portable Electronic Weighing Machine at Panchkula today. He inspected the working of the machine that weighed loaded and unloaded vehicles.

The Chief Minister carefully inspected the weight of the loaded trucks after which three trucks were weighed on a regular weighing machine. He also got unloaded vehicles weighed and compared their weight with the weight mentioned in their RCs. He also got the convoy weighed.

The Chief Minister said that the data is being collected by weighing vehicles on this portable electronic weighing machine which will be compared with the actual data. If the machine is used properly and the statistics are correct then it will prove very beneficial for the state. He said that this portable machine can be easily carried anywhere and the loaded and unloaded vehicles can be easily weighed anywhere by keeping it in the middle of the road. He said that loaded vehicles up to 200 tons can be weighed on this machine.

The Chief Minister said that the spread of COVID-19 in various NCR districts of the state is a matter of concern and the Haryana government is working with complete diligence in this regard. Necessary steps are being taken and monitoring is being done by the Health Department to safeguard the people of the state, he added. He said that COVID-19 testing facilities and other necessary equipments have been increased in many districts of the state. He said that the people can keep themselves safe by following social distancing norms besides which wearing masks is also mandatory.

Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Mr. Anurag Rastogi, Commissioner of Police, Mr. Saurabh Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Ahuja, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohit Handa, Additional Deputy Commissioner, and Secretary, RTA, Panchkula, Ms. Manita Malik, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Panchkula, Mr. Dheeraj Chahal, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) Kalka, Mr. Rakesh Sandhu were also present on the occasion.
