Chandigarh, June 20– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has accorded the approval for the creation of posts of 419 AYUSH doctors, 419 AYUSH pharmacists, 419 peons, and 419 part-time safai karamcharis, the sanction of budget to the tune of over Rs. 36.45 lakh here today.
While stating here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister has accorded the approval of the creation of posts of 419 AYUSH doctors, 419 AYUSH pharmacists, 419 peons, and 419 part-time safai karamcharis. These posts will be filled through district AYUSH Societies. The Chief Minister has also accorded the administrative approval of a budget of over Rs. 36.45 for the financial year 2020-21 to implement the scheme.
He said that as per the latest information collected from the Health Department, 528 Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and 131 Community Health Centers (CHCs) are working under them. Out of these 528 PHCs, the department has already appointed AYUSH staff at 109 PHCs under the National Health Mission NHM Scheme.
He said that Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) Systems of Medicine have age-old acceptance in India. AYUSH systems of Medicine have an important role in the prevention and management of many lifestyle-related chronic ailments. With the increase in the number of lifestyle-related disorders, there has been a resurgence of interest in the AYUSH Systems of medicine both globally and within the country. Hence, there is much need for mainstreaming of AYUSH System. Mainstreaming of AYUSH will help the patient to opt for the system as per disease.
