Chandigarh, July 10- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that various steps are being taken by the present State Government to curb corruption and highlight irregularities in the system, while the last ten years of Congress was a saga of scams, which are now being probed by Courts and CBI.

The Chief Minister said this while addressing press conference held at Rohtak district today.

While taking a dig at Senior Congress leader Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda for challenging him to contest the forthcoming Baroda Vidhan Sabha bye-poll, Mr. Manohar Lal said, ”I believe in our democratic system in which a sitting MLA it is not required to contest the legislative election of another constituency. Any party worker of our party is capable enough to contest this bye-election.”

Chief Minister said that till Baroda bye-elections are held, he himself is the MLA of this Constituency because he considers every Assembly Constituency of the state as his own and has always assured that the development works in every area are carried out without any discrimination.

The Chief Minister said that Congress party leaders have even lost trust amongst each other and they can’t even stand together at one platform.

Responding to another question, Chief Minister said that during the 10-year tenure of the Congress party, advertisements for only 92,000 posts were issued, while in five-and-a-half-year’s tenure of present State Government’s as many as 1 lakh 26 thousand jobs have been advertised, out of which 70,000 youth have joined their jobs. The recruitment process on 7094 posts is in the pipeline and written examination will be conducted for 23,000 posts, he informed. He said that the 10 recruitment advertisements had been issued by Congress from the year 2006 to 2013, for 6352 posts, but these recruitments have been cancelled by the court.

Responding to a question asked about cancellation of PTI recruitment by Supreme Court, Chief Minister clarified that the court has given five months time to complete this recruitment process again.

He said that in the last five years, State Government has given employment to around 4.5 lakh youth in the private sector. One lakh youth have registered on Saksham Portal, who are being paid an amount of Rs. 9000 for 100 hours of work. All these figures certainly prove that the tall claims made by Congress about increasing unemployment in the State during BJP regime are false and misleading.

Earlier, Chief Minister also held a meeting of office bearers of Rohtak district. Members Parliament, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia and Mr. Ramesh Kaushik, Rajya Sabha MP, Mr. Ramchandra Jangra, former Minister of State, Mr. Manish Grover and other dignatires were present on the occasion.
