Chandigarh, July 12- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 22.99 crore for the construction of 2 lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB) with the bow string steel beam in replacement of busy level crossing in between Dukheri-Kesri Railway Station on SRE-UMB Section on Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) route in district Ambala.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said that the level crossing would be closed simultaneously with the commissioning of the bridge.
He said that the State Government shall contribute 50 per cent share for this 2 lane ROB and the remaining 50 per cent shall be spent by the Railways. He said that the State Government would ensure that works on approach roads is co-terminous with the completion of the bridge portion by Railways. The responsibility for maintenance of roads passing through subway, lighting, drainage system, diversion road and any other allied works in Railway portion would be with Railways and beyond the Railway portion the responsibility of maintenance rests with the State Government, he added.
